Dear Khalid Bhai

I work in Mobilink but to my disbelief and grief, I never understand why many people specially educated like you get trapped in frauds like this.

To make it simple, I must inform you the legitimacy of Mobilink’s message when you receive it from sender 300 or a 3 digit number.

I must say the greed blind every one and if you see, you are quoting a fraud number with Ufone’s national dialling code 0332.

I think it’s more than enough to understand for any lay man that they are being given bait to get trapped so do no get blind and see the number from where the message ihas arrived and ignore the message.

I(Nisar Ahmad)having mobile number 03005944780 have received a message twice on 02-01-2008 that i have when “JAZZ MALL MALAL” lucky draw you “MUBARIK” double balance.You dial code number *100*923076639303*44# your balance will be double from “MALL MALAL”.I dialled the above code number but instead of doble payment,Rs.44& again Rs.44 have been deducted from my account.Why? is this not a fraud with the customers? Please explain the position and do something to detect the fraud and satisfy the customers that why such like fraud are taking place on your service as the reply of deducting the amount has been received from “MOBILINK”.The explanation may please be given to satisfy my self as well as the other customers once for all.We have also the right to go before the Court of Law.

Please note that this is JAZZ BALANCE TRANSFER CODE : *100*jazz number with country code*Amount#
Every one who knows this code, will not trap with these fraud messages. This is very poor attempt to damage the reputation of Mobilink.

i think there is some data base where they keep record of the transfer of amount, money from whom to transfer in whose account, so they can get access to these fraudulants, but yes if they really want to do this, it is no problem for them, and i wonder if a customer might have option to block sms from certain number, there should be a such option, may be it is not in the cell phone i have, but it is not in the sim setting, you see sms is just like email if we can block emails and/or mark them junk mails, we must have same option in doing SMS

salam well i read comments of everyone now let me explain something here first of all let me tell u that i am myself a hacker and u may not believe but i have hacked upto 40 franchises accounts of ufone company in pakistan well a franchisee was also helping me in that i was loading upto 400Rupees to my number everyday this was my routine after doing alot company suspected and caught me how they did? because they traced my call detail well they coudlnt reach at me lol but a friend who was doing job in a franchise.. he had given 10000Rs penalty to ufone regional office… today is 12/08/2008 and i did that again i hacked a franchise account and activated an account… this is all is only for to tell u that nothing is impossible in this world and sending a message for double balance is a game of kids everyone should work hard and should know more about security refering to myself just look at me:) all the above is said i swear is all right due to the best of my knowledge just to make u sure… well rememberd one more that i had hacked callpoints calling cards too
i daily hacked upto 2000RS cards numbers but that was phone hacking.. that i did on phone lol in last let me tell u briefly that i had recieved a call from a ufone number before 10 days ago and a kid lol means a man said to me that u have won a prize of 100000Rs i just said wowwwwwwwww ok i will call u later and i kept the phone down when i called him i just said i myself work in ufone and i am not registerd in any draw and why u r doing this all i scolded him so much and i said that i have forwarded a complaint abot u to concerns department and they will take a strict action against u finally i asked why do u do this.. he just said kya karain bhai bahut majboori hai
So meray bhaio zara yeh bhi socho keh agar koi aisa koi kaam karta hai tho jaan boojh kar nahi balkay uss ki bahut bari majboori hoti hai aur that i know………….
so agar ap say 50 Rs chalay bhi gaye tho kya…
kon daita hai ap mein say zakat? agar hum loug zakat diya kartay tho aaj yeh haal na hota aur yeh in logon ka haq hai jo aisa kar rahay hain woh hum say apna haq iss tareeqay say lay rahay hain that’s all ab jis snay jo kehna hai bakay……………… Allah hafiz

AoA.. bro if somebody is not giving zakat or fitra that is his/her personal business (God is the 1 who will decide their destiny), we are not the 1 to do this… rest we all know what is wrong and what is right .. gone are the days when kids use to read the stories of Robin hood and Charagh Balli.
for u that 50 Rs may not be important but for a person who’s in emergency and carrying only 50Rs in his credit at mid night may be suffered just because of u’r temporary fun…

mobilink ko chahiye ko woh apna balance sharing code change kar k ufone ki tarhan rakh dey as we send or forward msg then balance share ho… kuin k ajjkal log buisness card send kartya hay sms mein aur jin logon k pass latest handset hay jo k buisness card ko open kartey sath he number dial kar daitay hay tu un logon k liye yehkafi problem hay… soo any 1 here from mobilink request to your company or suggest them to change there code as ufone is doing like u2u8888888 and send msg to 222 like this thx

I always enjoy Mobilink service. But from the last one month i had listen from my friend a fraud issue about the balance double by transfering some amount from your mobile to other mobile.

Last day, I have also received a message from the CELL No. +923062785700

“111?, JAZZ ke taraf si khush khabri, Holiday ke khushi mein
*100*923062785700*55#
yeh code number mela kar balance double karein/www
Mobilink/com@.
From the last one month, Mobilink users are facing this issue, I hope there will a lot of complaints in Mobilink office about this issue. But still no action were taken by the Mobilink team.

Also PTA should also take the action and block the SIM’s of these users. It is also possible that there may be Mobilink’s employee involve in these activities. which is creating a bad image of Mobilink.

when u face such kind of issues dont bother calling call centers coz they cant do shit they just bluff this is just routine work for them

all u can do about such frauds is to avoid it

Comon People

Where in Pakistan you will get a free any thing, let alone a free balance *even from Mobilink).

I receive couple of those SMS as vcards. I simple dont acknowledge them as I dont know who sent me those.

Its not only a matter the end-user should understand, but it also relies on company to help the people.

Customer service is meant to service the customer not ***** the customer. If you receive a false number and when the person who presents you the SMS, you should immediately call or block the number. instead, you get long form to fulfill and copy of ID card is requested (so you could give it the scammer for buying new SIMS).

Its just in mobilink.We got a lot of messages like lucky draw, birthday wish , double balance, siama love and then number.Obviously these are not games but true theft and dacoit form customers and they are being done with the help of company employees.Be carefull all people dont send any reply to like these messages.We muslims are all really people who will go to jannat by doing such kind of work.we can only give pain to others.nothing else.And all these will lead to way to pure jannat.

Dear Yaser,
This is not tjust the problem with Mobilink but its is also with telenor , because they have the similar technique of balance share, while other networks use sms technique for balance share where chance of someone get trapped are minimum.
If mobilink aquire such technique of balance share they can stop these frauds.
and one more thing that companies are not involved in it, local balance load personels are involved, because every time i easy load i start getting such messages, and when i use scratch cards it doesnt happen, and every time i go to a new easy load shop i start getting these messages from a new number , that explains the involvement of local easy load shops bcz they have list of numbers.
another technique mobilink can adopt is of ufone where you can generate a serial number against your phone number and use that serial number for easy load to stop number spread but i think better solution is to use sms technique for balance share. It would be nice if you send my suggestions to your company decision makers.
