Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) launched “Pakistan Package”
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced a new
package under which its subscribers will be able to make free long distance
nationwide calls.
The call can made to all PTCL landline and wireless phone (vfone) numbers for a
modest fee of Rs. 199 per month under the facility called “Pakistan Package.”
According to the Company sources, all of its customers will initially be provided this facility and if any customer do not wish to continue, it can de-activate the facility by simply calling the 1236 helpline 24 hours a day. The customer can either speak with an operator or use the computerized system (IVR) and can also visit any customer care center or revenue office.
An official at PTCL said a fair usage policy will be in place and added a customer exceeding 5,000 nationwide minutes in any month will be charged Rs. 2 for each subsequent minute.
He said with the introduction of this new package, the green package will be discontinued as off December 1, 2007. The official said this is a landmark change in the history of Pakistan’s telecom industry.”Now, businesses, private entrepreneurs, students and residential users can stay in constant touch with anyone, anywhere in the country, as often as they want,” he said.He said the availability and affordability of mass communication are vital
for a nation’s progress and added PTCL has a renewed commitment to provide efficient and state of the art telecom services for its customers.
The official said along with the local call promotion of Rs. 3.99 per hour, the Pakistan Package represents the beginning of a new vision and a new era of customer service.
PTCL made us fool and charge all customers Rs. 199.00 on the name of Pakistan Package. They advertise this package on 1st December in the result of which no one was able to disable this offer for the month of December. Due to wrong policies a large number of poeple are going to disconnet thier PTCL connections. PTCL is now like a sinking ship no one can save it.

Iys all just crap and bullshitt, In the whole world local call is free and you are making it most difficult, Cell phone is cheaper than your service, I think the policy makers of PTCl are selfish or wanna eradiacte the company or they are illiterate.

I have got my recent PTCL Bill for the month of FEBRUARY 2009 & very perplexed to see the amount of the BILL more than Rs: 850/= which showed no record of the Calls-Made or Internet-Usage.
Last month’s bill was also surprising,more than Rs: 800/=. I don’t know why it is so?
I have been using the facility of INTERNET during these two months, but keeping the care of the EXEMPTION time schedule & total hours of the month.
I am highly needful in seeking guidance in this regard from the Authorities.
Moreover there is a continuous drawback of communicating PTCL server; if the communication once made it breaks many times during ONE SITTING. Why it is so?
I want to clarify that the PTCL phone is very rarely used by us; it is used only for INTERNET FACILITY only; AS the other means of communication like MOBILE phone & WORLD Call are in our frequent use.
I request the Authorities to guide me in my problems & send me the Detailed Bill of the two months ie, January & February 2009 so as to remove my unrest mental worries.
