Faraz Ahmed Fraz
Ahmed Fraz; a Famous poet of Pakistan passed away on Monday August 25, 2008. His funeral was offered in Islamabad graveyard on Tuesday at 6 PM.
Pakistan loses a great poet, a friend of Pakistani people and Urdu literature also lost a great writer.
Ahmed Fraz whose original name was “Ahmed Shah” was 78 year old. He had been suffered with Kidney failure and was admitted in hospital of Chigaco, USA. He was admitted in Shifa Hospital, Islamabad since he return from USA in last month.
Two of his famous poem and ghazal were:
Ranjish hi sahi dil hi dukhane ke liye aa
Aa phir se muje chor ke jane ke liye aa

Suna hai log oose aankh bhar ker dekhte hien
So oos ke shaher mein kuch din tehar ke dekhte hein
He was a revolutionary poet and very popular in young generation of Pakistan.
