Benazir Bhutto (Daughter of East) assassinated (1953-2007)

Benazir Butto (late) waves of the last time. Minutes later she was to assassinatedBenazir bhutto was assassinated last day when she finished her last speech in Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi. Her car was going out from liaqat bagh, when a person fired on her and then blast himself after shooting.

Benazir butto was chairperson of Pakistan’s political party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). She was born on June 21, 1953 in Karachi. She was daughter of Pakistan’s former prime minister Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. She passed graduation in 1973 and in 1977 she completed her specialization in Economics, Political Science from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.

She backed to Pakistan in 1977 when her father was the prime minister of Pakistan. After her arrival the former Chief of Army Staff (Mr. Zia-ul-Haq) imposed Marshal law and arrested Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.She was elected as Prime minster of Pakistan in 1988. She was the first Lady prime minister of Muslim world. After 20 month her Government was dissolved by the former President Gulam Ishaq Khan.

Peoples Party again became in rule in 1993 and Benazir bhutto again elected as prime minister of Pakistan. Unfortunately, after three years the former president Farooq Lagari dismissed her goverment. In 1999, she went to UAE.


She came back to Pakistan after eight and half years on October 18, 2007. She arrived in Karachi and Millions of people welcomed her. A suicide bomber attacked on her welcomed rally but she was safe at that time.After 2 month and 9 days, she killed after addressed her last rally for next coming election of Pakistan.

Benazir Bhutto laid to rest on Friday evening, next to her fathre Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, at the family graveyard in Garhi Khuda Buksh.

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) launched “Pakistan Package”

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced a new
package under which its subscribers will be able to make free long distance
nationwide calls.

The call can made to all PTCL landline and wireless phone (vfone) numbers for a
modest fee of Rs. 199 per month under the facility called “Pakistan Package.”

According to the Company sources, all of its customers will initially be provided this facility and if any customer do not wish to continue, it can de-activate the facility by simply calling the 1236 helpline 24 hours a day. The customer can either speak with an operator or use the computerized system (IVR) and can also visit any customer care center or revenue office.

An official at PTCL said a fair usage policy will be in place and added a customer exceeding 5,000 nationwide minutes in any month will be charged Rs. 2 for each subsequent minute.


He said with the introduction of this new package, the green package will be discontinued as off December 1, 2007. The official said this is a landmark change in the history of Pakistan’s telecom industry.”Now, businesses, private entrepreneurs, students and residential users can stay in constant touch with anyone, anywhere in the country, as often as they want,” he said.He said the availability and affordability of mass communication are vital
for a nation’s progress and added PTCL has a renewed commitment to provide efficient and state of the art telecom services for its customers.

The official said along with the local call promotion of Rs. 3.99 per hour, the Pakistan Package represents the beginning of a new vision and a new era of customer service.

Gen. Pervez Musharraf gives up army uniform

Today, it is a great day in the history of Islami Jamhuria Pakistan. Gen. Pervez Musharraf stepped down as Pakistan’s military commander Wednesday, fulfilling a key opposition demand a day before he was to be sworn in as civilian president.

Now, he is not more Gen. in uniform. he is the history of past as a Pakistan army chief.

Musharraf was 13th chief of Pakistan army. which is the best army over the world. In his last address to army as chief, he said, “I am proud to be a part of this family (army). I have commanded a world’s best army for nine (9) years.

  • Kiyani received his education from Military College Jhelum and was commissioned in the Baloch Regiment in August 1971.
  • He has held many important military appointments throughout his career. He is a graduate of the Command and Staff College Quetta, Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, US and National Defence College, Islamabad.
