Watch Live Express News – Another Pakistani News Channel
Another Pakistani news channel “Express News” who have a very good slogan “Har Khabar Per Nazar“… “An eye on each news“. They have latest technology to report the news with updated media equipments.
It is owned by daily Urdu newspaper “Daily Express“.

This channel has great working and it is competing very quickly to other TV Channels like GEO TV and ARY ONE World.
Pakistani Rupee (Currency Note)
Last week, while i was sitting with my friends, One of my friend “Imran Sajjad” asked me, “do you have old notes of Pakistan’s currency like PKR 5, 10 etc?”
This question was surprised for me, I just replied why he want this. He said we should have a copy or pictures of old notes so that we can tell our new generation about our currency.
As I have not old currency notes nor a pictures. So, I have decided to search and find the pictures of currency notes and try to put on the web.
After a long searching, I just found some of the images… not sure either these are all or there is any other note too…
Thanks to banknotes and other site from where, I have able to get some of old Pakistani Note (Currency) pictures. While, some pictures are scanned myself.

What’s going On in Pakistan?
Ah… very sad… Two bomb blast in the heart of Pakistan Lahore. This was 3rd time at Lahore in Year 2008. When bomb exploded in FIA building. It seems that a bomb was planted somewhere in the building,” local agency chief Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed told AFP.
City government Lahore said that the building is not able to stay. They also evacuated the people from other buildings near the FIA building. In FIA building at least 22 people were dead and around hundred peoples were injured. Almost 500 people were in FIA building when the bomb blast. This happened at 9:25am (approximately)
on same day another suicide bomber attacked on advertising agency in Model Town Lahore. In which 4 people were dead on the spot.
Last week, 5 people were killed when two suicide bomber blew up on the gate of Nevy College, Lahore.
Now Australia cricket team also canceled the tour in Pakistan due to same security issue.
Why this is happening in Pakistan. Is it due to wrong government policy or due to USA??? Who is behind this???

My experience in Election 2008
On Monday, 18 February 2008 (day of 9th General Election of Pakistan) , I was energetic to cast my vote for the better future of Pakistan. When I reached to polling station with my father and tried to find my vote number from the voters list, I found that my vote is not listed in the registered voters.
In the past, I had used my vote option three times in life. Twice in local bodies elections and once in year 2002 for general election of Pakistan.
At this time, in new computerized voters list, my vote is not listed. While my younger brother have vote and he availed his chance to poll first time in his life.
So, I returned home without poll. I discussed this thing with my neighbour friend, he said that vote of his father is also not listed.
Another neighbour complained that his wife and mother unable to cast their vote due to same issue.
My Suggestion to improve voters list.
I think, election commission should consider the update/upgrade electrol system especially after computerized National Identity cards.
As each computerized NIC has expiry date. So, there is no need to create other list for voters.
- Each 18 years old citizen of Pakistan who have computerized NIC; should have right to poll.
- So, when the computerized card will expire the vote will automatically removed from the list.
Another issue with election commission website. The search to check the vote is not effective. That should be improve and remove the bugs. As lot of names are incorrect in the computerized voters list.
Unofficial Election 2008 Polling Results: PML-Q lagging in Poll
In unofficial polling result, most of former ministers lost their seats in election 2008.
- President of PML(Q)’s & former prime minister of Pakistan Mr. Shujjat Hussain lost seat from Sialkot and Gujrat.
Mr. Chaudary Ahmed Mukhtar (PPP) defeated Mr. Shujaat Hussan (PML-Q) in NA-105-Gujrat-II.
Mr. Rana Abdus-Sattar (PML-N) defeated Mr. Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain (President of PML-Q) in NA-112-Sialkot-III. - Former foreign minister Mr. Khurseed Ahmed Kasuri (PML-Q) lost seat from Kasur
- Former defence minister Mr. Rao Sikandar Iqbal (PML-Q) lost seat from Okara.
- Former Railway minister Mr. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed (PML-Q) lost seat from Rawalpindi in NA-55 and NA-56.
- Mr. Rafique Ahmed Jamali (PPPP) defeated Former Power minister Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi (PML-Q) in NA-232, Dadu-I.
- Dr. Firdus Aashiq Awan (PPPP) defeated former Speaker Assembly Mr. Chaudhry Ameer Hussain (PML-Q) in NA-111-Sialkot-II
- Former chief minister of Punjab Mr. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi won only 1 seat out of 3 seats.
Mr. Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi (PML-Q) won the seat from NA-58-Attock-II against Mr. Malik Sohail Khan (PML-N)
Mr. Chaudhry Saud Majeed defeated Mr. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi (PML-Q) in NA-187-Bahawalpur-V
Mr. Mohammad Faiz Timan defeated Mr. Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi (PML-Q) in NA-61-Chakwal-II - MMA won few seats across the Pakistan.
- Hamid Nasir Chatta lost his seat
- Mr. Humair Hayat Rokhri (Independent) defeated Dr. Sher Afghan Khan Niazi (PML-Q) in NA-72-Mianwali-II
- Chaudry Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema (PML-N) defeated Mr. Hamid Nasir Chattha (PML-Q) in NA-101-Gujranwala-VII
- Mr. Humayun Akhtar Khan (PML-Q) former minister trade lost his 2 seat from NA-124-Lahore-VII and NA-125-Lahore-VIII
